GOSPEL IN JERUSALEM
–Acts 1-8 One thing you need – The H.S
1. {Church Growth}:
–Acts 1:15 –  In those days Peter stood up among the believers (a group numbering about a hundred and twenty)
–Acts 2:41 – Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.
–‭‭‭‭Acts 2:46-47 – Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, [47] praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
–‭‭Acts 4:4 – But many who heard the message believed; so the number of men who believed grew to about five thousand.
–‭‭Acts 5:13-14 – No one else dared join them, even though they were highly regarded by the people. [14] Nevertheless, more and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number.
–Acts 6:7 –  So the word of God spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly, and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith.
–‭‭Acts 9:31 NIV‬‬ [31] Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace and was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it increased in numbers.

2. {Witness of Jesus Resurrection}

Acts 4:33 – With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all.  Acts 5:19-20, 21, 25, 28-32, 42

3. {Baptism of the Holy Spirit}
–‭‭Acts 1:5 –  For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”
–Acts 2:4 – All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
–Acts 2:11 – (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!”
–‭‭Acts 2:37-39 – When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” [38] Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. [39] The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”

–Acts 4:31 – After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

–Acts 6:10 – But they could not stand up against the wisdom the Spirit gave him as he spoke.

–Acts 7:55 – But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.

–‭‭Acts 8:14-17 – When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to Samaria. [15] When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might receive the Holy Spirit, [16] because the Holy Spirit had not yet come on any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. [17] Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

–Acts 10:44-47 NIV‬‬ [44] While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. [45] The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on Gentiles. [46] For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God. Then Peter said, [47] “Surely no one can stand in the way of their being baptized with water. They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.”

{Giving People what they Need}

—‭‭Acts 3:3-6 – When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. [4] Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, “Look at us!” [5] So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them. [6] Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.”
—‭‭Acts 3:8 – He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God.

 {Sincere Fellowship}
–Acts 2:42-44 –  They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. [43] Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. [44] All the believers were together and had everything in common.

–Acts 4:23-31 – Believers Prayers following the threats.
–‭‭Acts 4:32-34 – All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. [33] With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all [34] that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales
–Acts 5:3 – When Satan fills ones heart, they start lying to the Holy Spirit v9 (Testing the Holy Spirit).

d. Being stagnant breeds death (Physical, Financial, Intellectual & Spiritual).
–They engaged in sexual Immorality✓
–They tested Christ✓
–They grumbled ✓

–Numbers 25 – Being Zealous for God and His holiness like Phinehas
