God would visit Adam and Eve in the cool of the day (Genesis 3)

John 10:27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them and they follow me.

**God is a great listener***we have become too busy to listen***Noise can come from the mind, media etc.**

Jesus spent 40 days in silence or solitude (Luke 4)

Ecclesiastes 3:7 There is a time to be silent

Luke 5:16 He often withdrew to lonely places and prayed

James 1:19 Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.

Proverbs 16:20 Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers.

Acts 16:25 About midnight, Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.

Luke 10:38-42 Mary sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said v40, but Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be done.
