Psalms 8:2 “Through the praise of children and infants, you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the FOE and the AVENGER.
David knew the secret of dealing with the enemy, by offering praise to God.
Children are the weakest, but when they praise God, the effect is to SILENCE the FOE and AVENGER.
The devil is our foe and the avenger out to destroy us. Praise stops and silences Satan and his accusations.
1 Samuel 17:1 The philistines/Goliath stood at the Sokoh of Judah (Praise). The enemy stands at the gate of praise.
POWER OF WORSHIP:
a. Stops and Silences the enemy
1 Sam 17:10 Goliath in defiance would shout: “This day I defy the armies of Israel”
v16 For 40 days, the Philistine came forward every morning and evening and took their stand.
v45 David said to the Philistine, “You come against me in sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the Name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.
v46 By Faith, David declared what will happen in praise or glory to God.
v47 Not by sword/spear that the LORD saves, for the battle is the LORD”S.
b. Gives us access to God’s Holy of Holies
Psalms 100:4 “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise”
c. Gives us victory
2 Chronicles 2:22 “As they began to sing and praise, the LORD set ambushes against men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading JUDAH, and they were defeated.
d. It paves way for God’s power to be displayed and miracles happen

Psalms 16:11 In his presence, there is fullness of joy
f. Praise leaves no room for complaining and negativity
Through praise, we are focused on God and not centered around our struggles. We are reminded of his doings.
Psalms 103:2-4
Psalms 150:1-6 Let everything that has breadth praise the LORD.
