God had come to  fellowship with Adam and Eve in the cool of the day; but instead they hid themselves among the trees of the garden . Genesis 3:8.

v7 Following their disobedience, their eyes were opened and they realized that they were naked.  In their human efforts, they made coverings of fig leaves.

v9 The Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”

– We see that sin brings shame, for man started to run away from God instead of drawing closed like before. (Hebrews 4:16)

v3 Death was activated, “You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it or you will die.”

v4 Deception from Satan, “You will not certainly die, the serpent said to the woman.”

What happened next after sin/spiritual death?

All psychological problems came into being including – fear, guilt, shame, hatred and enmity.

v15 God proclaimed that the offspring of the woman (seed) will be born and will crush the head of the serpent, and the serpent will strike his heal.

Isaiah 52:14 – His appearance was disfigured beyond human.

1 Peter 2:24 “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” (NIV)

Colossians 2:13-15 – “When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, ¹⁴ having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. ¹⁵ And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.”(NIV)

The Cross is Satan’s STOP SIGN. He can’t go past it.

Hebrews 2:14-16 “Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— ¹⁵ and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. ¹⁶ For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham’s descendants.” (NIV)

Genesis 3:21 – The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. [**Fig leaves could not offer a lasting solution, but only a bloody garment**]

Human works[fig leaves] versus a bloody garment [Hebrews 9:22 – Without the shedding of blood there’s no forgiveness of sin]. God’s wrath was appeased by the death of an animal. But a human had to die for a human for a an eternal forgiveness.

Isaiah 61:10 – He clothes us with a garment of salvation and a robe of righteousness (Are you keeping the garment clean?).

Adam blood had no life, but actually it brought death, but the last Adam’s blood gives life (Romans 5:12, 18-19, 1 Corinthians15:21-22, 45).

Leviticus 17:11 shows that life is in the blood.

**A sinless man had to die for a sinful man.

Hebrews 10: 4 “For it is impossible for blood of bulls and goats to take away sins”
