Hebrews 2:1 “We must pay the *most careful attention* , therefore, to what we have heard, so that *we do not drift away.*”
Are we drifting away?
When you neglect your spiritual walk for even a short time you begin to drift away from God.
Cessation in praying, reading the bible, fellowship and living in disobedience leads to drifting.
_” *Ephraim, he hath mixed himself among the people* ; *Ephraim is a cake not turned,”(Hosea* 7:8).
Ephraim is half baked.
Are you half baked?
Are you drifting away? The unturned side of the cake hasn’t burned properly thus rendering the cake half baked.
Is your life filled with worldly things?
Are you drifting into error and false doctrine ?
The Lord once told Laodeacian church,”So then because thou art *lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee* out of my mouth.”(Rev 3:16).
When it comes to our relationship with the Lord, we must be thorough and not “half-baked.”
His gracious work must permeate our whole being so that our heart, mind, and strength are all devoted to Him.
_Samson once said,”….. I will go out *as at other times before, and shake myself* . And he wist not that the *LORD was departed from him* “(Judges 16:20).
He never knew that his hair had been cut,
His fellowship with the Lord has been cut.
The enemy shove him while he was asleep.
While men were asleep the enemy saw the tares.
Are you drifting away?Have you lost the power of God from your life?
,”Take us the foxes, the little foxes, *that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.”(* Sos 2:15).
Get rid of little foxes that spoil the vine.
Root out small things that are hampering your relationship with God.
Put on the whole armor of God.
By Prayer, bible study and other spiritual exercises you will be able to ward off enemies both large and small.
Look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.
