The greatest commandment is about love: Matthew 22:36

All the LAWS and the PROPHETS depend on these two: Love for God and people.

What must one do in order to inherit eternal life? Luke 10:25-37. Again, it is dependent on love for God and people.

“Anyone who does not love, does not know God, because God is love” 1 John 4:8

God is the essence of love (to understand love, look at his character) – He loves all, no partiality, Jesus walked in humility and did not covet etc.

“….but I do as the father has commanded me, so that the world may know that I love the father” John 14:31

The greatest expression of love is John 3:16, Romans 5:8, John 15:12-13, 1 John 3:16-18. 

Everything God does is loving, just  as everything He does is just and right.

Emphasis on value of  True love:

1 Corinthians 13

1 John 3:11-18 – Love one another.

1 John 4:16-21 – Loving like Christ and perfect love has no fear.

1 John 5:3

John 14:15

Romans 12:9-10 – Love must be sincere.

NB: All human efforts by modern pharisees for world peace will fail if people live in rebellion to God (failing to LOVE HIM FIRST). Jesus called this cleaning the outside of the cup and dish (human efforts), but not the inside (Having PEACE WITH GOD). When our relationship with God is okay, loving others is no problem.
