–I am not under the LAW is a common saying today–

°° Which Law?? The law of the  SPIRIT unto LIFE or the law of SIN & DEATH? [Romans 8:2] –Jesus came to fulfill all that which the Law of Moses FORESHADOWED [Matthew 5:17-18]

°°Purpose of the Mosaic Law:
— For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are. [Romans 3:20 NLT] **The law shows man his need for a saviour**

°°Why, then, was the law given?
–It was given ALONGSIDE THE PROMISE to show people their sins. But the law was designed to last only until the coming of the child who was promised. [Galatians 3:19 NLT] [The purpose of the law was to keep as a guardian/trustee/custodian a sinful people in the way of salvation until Christ (the seed/heir) came, inheriting the promises God made to Abraham by OATH and distributing them to us. Galatians 3:18, Hebrews 6:13- 16]

–Before the way of FAITH in Christ was available to us, we were placed under GUARD by the law. We were kept in protective CUSTODY, so to speak, until the way of faith was revealed. [Galatians 3:23 NLT]

–That is: The law was our guardian until Christ came; it protected us until we could be made right with God through FAITH. And now that the way of faith has come, we no longer need the law as our guardian. [Galatians 3:24‭-‬25 NLT] ✓✓Through Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing he promised to Abraham, so that we who are believers might receive the promised Holy Spirit through faith. [Galatians 3:14 NLT]

°°The Law of Christ/Spirit
— Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. [Galatians 6:2 NIV] –For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has set you free from the law of sin and of death. [Romans 8:2 AMP]

°°The law of Christ/Spirit is LIGHT so long as we FELLOWSHIP with him.
–Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation]. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me [following Me as My disciple], for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest (renewal, blessed quiet) for your souls. For My yoke is easy [to bear] and My burden is light.
[Matthew 11:28‭-‬30 AMP]

–Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”  [Matthew 22:37‭, ‬39‭-‬40 NLT, Galatians 5:-13-14, Luke 6;31, Phil 2:3, Rom 12:15] ✓The law of the SPIRIT unto LIFE/Law of CHRIST (Saving Grace) leads to OBEDIENCE.
