It is important to start where we are, not where we wish we were. Otherwise, we remain on the sidelines (1 year, 5 years,10 years,20 years,70 years), watching life go by, missing opportunities, as we wait for a “perfect time”.

God said to the Israelites in captivity to make plans – plant a garden, build houses and start families. Jeremiah 29:4-5.

They were wondering why make plans in a foreign land – Babylon. They wanted to stay on the sidelines watching (for 70 years of captivity), waiting for that “perfect” time when they shall go home.
